One More travelogue

I think I should apply to lonely planet. I mean I travel so much and don’t get paid for it .Actually I m happy in my job which is mostly no contribution to company or the society.I wish all jobs are like these with complete autonomy and creativity. Neways this forum is not to brag about the complete wastage of my professional life but about the travel escapades..which also are funny coz I am a funny man. Actually sad reasoning but can be justified when you haven’t slept from 3 nights straight.
So we all started for a small little place called DAMAN. We had a special powai idli`s but that is a different story. Our overambitious plans were to leave at 6 am. So I got up at 7 and sme 4 women came and picked us up from the flat. Of course the start was wonderful and I was super-enthu about the trip already.
So we left the Sakinaka hotspot and moved lured with the faraway beaches in the fantasy land. So we went and went and kept on going coz suddenly it has already been some 4-5 hours and we were yet to reach 193 kms.
And there it was right in front of our eyes. The beautiful (rather ornamented with garbage) the black sand beach smeared with muddy water. I suddenly started feeling sorry for my beachwear. But then beach is beach and I am from Rajasthan so cannot disgrace any waterbody.
Daman: It’s a beautiful portugese colony (portugese is my nu favourites) close to a dry state with least taxes on liquer so we found more wine stores than STD PCO`s and since the time I have left drinking these “fortunate” instance have increased manifolds. So wine ..respective women with respective men and high tides. Not a bad combination to sum it up.
But then it was a assortment of finance superbrains so all the actuaries (atlest all of whom I knw) indulged in their favourite pastime of sipping beer and playing poker went on till wee hours. In all the mayhem the firang actuary who wanted to visit the Indian countryside also wanted to see the sunrise on the beach soon realized that on this side of Arabian sea sun only sets not rises J.(And I thot only Indians are oversmart.)
Don’t worry the writer wasn’t the part of either the poker or of sun sighting project. i era ocupado noutro local.:)
Sunday mornings and we were at the sea. All dressed up and undressed up. Fighting muddy waves..rocks at the seabed and Frisbee/slippers. Saw the church cum fort ..Lighthouse cum sky scrapper. But all in all the serenity after madhouse in Mumbai was priceless, just to sit there by the sea side and introspecting (sometime not introspecting also). All this while njoin the calm and listening atif aslam for the 100th time( I was made to listen….).
As good as it gets was achieved so we came back leaving all our gujju brethren in the alcohol oasis. We met our share of traffic jams on the way but the rise to the place was worth the trip. Despite a single CD we sang , danced and made all feel glad about the adventure. Actually I realized how insignificant is the place when you are with friends and really wanted to have a blast.
Thanks people it was a terrific weeknd getaways in every sense of the word.

Month that flied

It's been a month in Mumbai.

So you wanna know wat have been my escapades, adventures, tales of bravely and fables of legends and knights. Quite obviously we no longer live in medieval ages and not knowing how to ride a horse and swordsmanship is not a deterrent in "learning ".so being a dumb lazy kid I learned nothing. As explained in the earlier posts..watever offerd on the learning platter was so constipating anyways.

Alrite so wat have been my city analysis.(those who ve read Moscow diaries they`ll swear I m nt bad at city observationsJ )

Food: I love my cook. And I love my company for providing him. City food otherwise is extremely cosmopolitan and doesn't really impress too much my conservative north Indian tongueJ

Rentals: I have start saving money so that I mite be able to buy 1BHK in next 35 years. Rentals are crazy. Cost of my office building would be close to half of the total buildings in Ajmer.

Transport: Whoever said Mumbai public transport is most efficient was just being politically correct. It is actually most efficient provided u actually manage to board it. After being stuck in traffic jam at 3.30am.I have no nice word to appreciate. So far have spent more money on commuting than food, beverage and clothing put together.

Neighbours: who are they ?

Bandra Bandstand : The whole city can be famous for just this. I happened to be walking alone there in the evening and for obvious reasons felt more miserable in life:)

Hard-Rock café: Really some place to go. Awesome ambiance mixed with brilliant crowd. not bad for the first month

Nitelife: City has some crazy nitelife. Though I could cover only Red Box, Shiros, Hawain Shack and Mumbai Times café in the first month but the places are happening with chic crowd , good food but returning late in the auto is a pain.

Time: It is at its fastest best here. Everybody is running somewhere. I have not tried to be different but if somebody askes me dude like really whats the rush I have no answer.

The whole month had flied and vanished without trace. Now induction is over. Outbound learning is done. Stay at the company guest house is over.

Wastage of a half life

26, and getting old faster
Question says how fast can you run

Can you be faster than time
Or its just as imaginary as time travel

Or still which which is more important
Speed or control?

If I dig it furthur
Is control unaspirational?
or what is my tenacity to compromise

Not everything is moral bound
hence not everything can be compromised
Does that leave morals to be scapegoats?

Its a twisted matrixof
hope and despair

One can lament on the banalities
or Euphemise it as experience of the Half Life

Verbal Diarrhea

Poem For The product Traniner Mr. Clayton

In the soporofic Boardroom
Ornamented with the abstract Art

I am learning which I`ll never use in life
Its irony of sorts that I am getting paid for it

`ey say u should knw indstry dynamics
Smetims the explainations r as vague as theories thmselves

So Shall i question the system
or accept the absurdity

Feel sorry for the enthusiasm of the teacher
Feel sorry for self too as a sufferrer

Worse both are getting paid for teh arrangement
But some things are beyond rationale

World is round else would have pushed mr clayton off the cliff
