Biking and the Bro-hood

There are millions of blogs on biking and zillion blog posts. Those endless roads, vrooming on them at high speeds and fresh wind on your face. The pure ecstasy of biking is addictive and mesmerizing.
But then we are talking the cruise biking here. The highways, the bike trips, amidst Himalayas and hills, between green  & yellow fields and small roads adorned with Palm trees.
For most of the unfortunate ones the aforesaid things happen at max 1nce a year and that too if we are lucky. For most part of our existence we huff-puff our Street Hawks fighting the menace of city traffic.
But something I ve noticed from sometime now :
For cities like Mumbai, Delhi ,Bangalore…where one is  compelled to force your way through Trucks, State Buses, Pick Up vans and pedestrians alike Bikers are joined with 1 most important thread of EMPATHY. Its quite strange but you`ll find bikers doing serpentine formations on the traffic signals , or while surviving non-existent roads on patchy shockers give each other breather , support, motivation and sometime side too.
Its somewhat pleasant to find more people facing Bus`s exhaust blower on their faces , screaming on the pedestrians and  exchanging pleasantries to the auto drivers. Kudos to the passion for Biking and comforting Bro-Hood

Blindnesszzzzzz

"Different Days present different perspectives". Wow wat a profound thought. Well most of the times bloggers keep looking for the topics to blog. I mean I m not the journalist types so I don’t do much reporting on world events may it be Israeli attacks on Gaza strip or Topless Obama. I mean yes these events are of historic importance but as a bored finance executive in these turbulent times they don’t really either affect me or amuse me.
So to kill the boredom I went to see critically acclaimed movie “Blindness. “ Just for the disclaimer I am not really a movie buff and rather critical of the no brainers dished out these days. Well situational comedy is ok but characters laughing on the poor audience I presume is a joke in bad taste. So lets say the moral of the story in blindness was…
I m still thinking
Will think some more coz I m very sure that there was some profound thought in the white blindness which I happen to miss completely. It was kinda movie you can watch with your eyes closed. Well you may actually like it that way .So its rather dark depicting rather ugly side of human emotions and opportunism. And its tryst with experimental and parallel cinema ends at say 15 mins after that you just hope yourself to turn blind till the end of the movie.
mOvie is badly shot, It has shoddy acting and lack of story and rather hilarious ending. It was just so unintentionally funny that all the prospective viewers can read the ending on site and save themselves money.
For PVR cinemas: kindly ensure that coffee is available during the intermission of the late night show. We know you cant change the script of the movie but coffee can save the headache at least.

Weekend No.1: The Review

As legendary James Bond depicted in the Quantum Of Solace that not sticking to the core competence can be fatal so as an unimpressed fan I follow. My core competence lies in the weekend sojourns and then juicy descriptions of my god forsaken endeavors...(dint you read any of those apology blogs post last year) I shall may continue my Individual Social Responsibility Onus(ISRO)in my unique way.
This Saturday was a path breaking day. I spent the whole day on the couch. Its very unique in lot of ways. No Casting on the couch. No cheering for Chelsea and Liverpool bashin either. No hindi masala movie on TV and no edge of the seat thriller novel in my hand. This first Saturday of the New Year I celebrated the nothingness. Its like the Darkness in our lives. Its not really the “light” but no less important. Its not called meaningless. Its important and valuable. Its what give value to any activity. Its that reply when people asks u “wats up”. So I gave it its due. Nothingness you are here to stay
So it was Sunday. So and I started my life with more vigor and enthusiasm. Before it was 10 I had washed my clothes, cleaned up the closet and had seen Australia struggling again.( I louved it !!!!!). Then as a bird on the prowl I waited for the phone to ring. And it did. So the date got cancelled..shitt no juicy details L.friends were called for rescue. Little Malibu in diet coke. Saw the Madagascar2,got the PURPLE tie as a birthday gift .(Thanks Tanjana J..i loved it) some first rate window shopping at Phoenix and then the dear Leopolds.
Phew!!!! day well spent wat say.

Rendering Dull and Dumb

As it is said. By the visionaries and thinkers of course. I am not qualified to say big words, wisdom words or any words. When you start working it called a beginning of a new life. New challenges and new means of building the life brick by brick.
So here it is me counting those bricks. Well mostly to hit on my head. Starting the working life I have realized, the transformation didn’t really happened on the expected lines. Considering the recruitment policy topped with I also live with fellow Mt`s hasn’t really helped in keeping the IQ level high.
In this processs of self discovery we crossed new lows of shabby wit and toilet humor. stretched new limits of time management and oder management. Its kinda summary of wasted life and keeping incredible level of motivation amongst the turbulent times.
I guess when God coined the cliché that he doesn’t rain he pours he didn’t calculated the probability metrics properly. He never thought sometimes whole universe conspires against you (Paul Coelho in Alchemist)(yes I have read these books hw else you win friends and influence people huh…tell me).
So in the incredible coincidence of unfortunate events. We the brightest of our lands..(of course our Mom`s validated) came to the big city in the hope to conquer the world and bring glory to our feet, make the mark on each street and will never retreat.
We shall stick our gut (or tongue) out.will fight the system which is pushing to make us dumb. And dull our spirits.(Now spirits is a topic with wider repercussions..but later). As some Mr Bodhi Tree said…
And I want our paths to cross
Kyunki!!! Sabka katega

ThE YeaR dT wAs

This year was eventful. Even in terms of how fast I get bored and how discounted I stay on the trivial details of menial events this still was an eventful year.
This was the year of losing and rediscovering grace. This was the year which made me loosen the exterior and toughened the heart. This was the year in which I tasted success and its brevity. This year proved me that phases pass good ones and also the bad ones. I am more patient, indolent but cautious now. Resolutions and their wastefulness kept me on my toes.
Last study shop:
Well pretty much last. I had trouble finishing my MBA so studying more seems out of equation. But yeah this was the time of most fun filled discussion. Sometimes absolute restlessness but still then the last bastion of formal education can be summed up as time well spent. Made few friends for life. Made some mistakes for life probably learnt some lessons for life too.
Travel and Travelogues:
The road trips and the bike trips. The bylanes at kashid, remote beaches of Udipi ,freezing hill tops at Manali , the darks n wilds of Jim Corbit, Toy Train of Shimla , Forts of Sikri , Charlotte Lake at Matheran, Black Sand at Daman..list is long.
The wedding rush:
Left right and center all my close friends were in a hush to get married.
Vikash, Gaurav, Biswanath, Ruchi, Richa and 1 more Gaurav
and people in line Ashutosh, Ashish, Tanay, Anjana ,Ayesha, Akshey..etc etc
Visa and  Portuguese adventures :
The Jinxed Brasil trip and the useless Brazilian-visa. When trip was on the cards visa refuse to come by. Now visa is lying unused from past 3 months.   I m sure It made me learn something.ugh still have to figure out what. Well I would say I am happy to be out of “learning Portuguese” torture though.
Flushed on the Blog
Taking blog writing in all seriousness. And dumping all the public and private crap on the blog. All the apologies and tragedies and then their encore. Of course the ennui at the workplace helps. But I guess I am quite a waste on random weekend outings and about the people whom blog readers don’t know and those people won’t read. So I believe I need to graduate a lil bit from self depreciatory humor coz it just cease to be amusing after a while. I think in new year I will be meaner and more caustic.(Oh the thot itself is motivating).
Happy New year to all and Sundry
